Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20 - $23 per hour (based on experience)
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, check requests, and vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner within the shared services environment.
  • Ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and have the appropriate approvals before processing.
  • Manage payment cycles, including processing checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date accounts payable records.
  • Cross-train and cover for other AP-related positions within the team as needed, including coverage with short or no notice.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly, maintaining professional communication.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process by ensuring all invoices and payments are recorded accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, maintaining respectful and professional relationships.
  • Assist with audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding AP transactions.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of transactions accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and take on new responsibilities as required.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
