LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours that is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance between on-site and remote work.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Position Type: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days work from home)
Hours: Monday - Friday, start anytime between 7:00am - 8:00am
Pay Rate: $24-27/hr.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and audit expense submissions

• Maintain and update vendor records

• Perform month-end closing activities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts, Debits & Credits, and Accruals

• Experience with auditing expense submissions

• Ability to maintain and update vendor records

• Experience with month-end closing activities

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required
