LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Ann Arbor, MI. Our client is a rapidly growing technology business who is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their team. The company has enjoyed incredible success in the last few years' and they are seeking a candidate with an accounting background as they continue their expansion.
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist assists in executing various day-to-day operations including information systems, payroll systems, recruiting and onboarding, staff credentials, training, development and benefits. The HR Generalist executes job duties that support staff tracking programs. The HR Generalist also participates in developing departmental goals towards achieving a high-quality performance culture and aligning our workforce with operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruiting of permanent and temporary staff. Screen resumes, contact job applicants and coordinate interviews.
Manages employee orientation and 90-day probationary plan tracking.
Conduct New Hire Orientation.
Collect, file and maintain original transcripts, background checks, physical reports and auto insurance for all staff.
Maintain employee information in Paycor and personnel files.
Maintain and update payroll data base management system (Paycor) in time on-demand and HR Performer.
Assist Manager in administering the payroll process by collecting time and attendance records and ensuring accuracy of attendance reports in Paycor.
Maintain and update paid time off (PTO) for all staff.
Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data both in Paycor and personnel files.
Verify Health/ Dental / Life/ LTD insurance bills for HR Manager’s signature
Verify invoices from vendors (temp agencies) for HR Manager’s signature.
Acts as communication conduit with our insurance brokers in handling employee questions and claims.
Prepare purchase requisitions for HR as needed.
Acts with high discretion in protecting the confidentiality of all applicable HR information.
Executes all other duties / responsibilities assigned by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications _ and Skills Required: _
An Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree strongly desired
Three (3) years of demonstrated general administrative office experience.
Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with emphasis on spreadsheet development and design
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Solid organizational, time management and ability to manage multiple priorities in meeting deadlines
Effective oral and written skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross cultural environments
High integrity and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality as required
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices a plus
Enthusiastic, positive personality and passion for operational excellence
Specifics:
Contract-to-Hire
Fully On-site: Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm, with an hour lunch, some flexibility in the morning
Pay: $27-34/hr.
