Position: Payroll Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to join our client's dynamic Payroll team. The successful candidate will administer their multi-state payroll system for both union and non-union payrolls. This role includes payroll processing, data entry, verification, and reconciliation of general ledger account balances. Advanced Excel skills and a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and compliance are essential.

Essential Duties:

  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing using ADP Financial Reporting for union and non-union employees across multiple states.
  • Data Entry and Time Processing: Accurately input employee data and process time entries.
  • Verification and Reconciliation: Verify payroll data and perform regular reconciliations and audits.
  • Documentation: Maintain payroll policies and procedures documentation.
  • System Support: Support system upgrades and process automation.
  • Reporting: Prepare and generate payroll reports using advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and finance teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax concepts in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience with payroll software (preferably Workday and/or SAP).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
