Location: Arlington Heights, IL (Onsite 3 days/week, Hybrid 2 days/week)
Employment Type: Full-time W2 Temporary Contractor (3+ months)
Hourly Rate: $50-$65/hour (depending on experience)
Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a highly skilled and licensed attorney to support our client’s team as a full-time W2 Contractor in a Contract Generalist position. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a full range of pre-award and post-award functions, including price/cost analysis, negotiation, and administration for a wide range of services, supplies, equipment, and construction projects supporting various sectors, including transportation, education, energy, financial, government, health care, and hospitality. Our client’s services include site selection, design, construction, property management, geologic mapping, foundation analysis, soil and rock drilling, and inspection services.
MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY! Our client is urgently hiring! Ideally, the perfect candidate should be able to start as early as Monday, 2/24. You must be able to work for the duration of the project with limited interruption over the course of 90 days. This INCREDIBLE opportunity is temporary for 3+ months with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform procurement planning and identify major procurement projects.
- Develop procurement objectives and construct contractual vehicles.
- Execute contractual strategies and develop procurement plans.
- Determine the availability of potential suppliers and develop new sources of supply.
- Prepare and maintain acquisition plans, milestones, and related schedules.
- Serve as an advisor to program officials in procurement.
- Prepare, issue, and incorporate contract modifications.
- Resolve issues that may arise after contract award, such as equitable adjustments in price and delivery schedules.
- Review procurement requests to ensure clarity, adequacy, and completeness.
- Revise statements of work or specifications as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active US licensed (IL preferred) attorney (in good standing) with 2+ years of recent experience in contract law.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and technology skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to start immediately – as early as Monday, 2/24!
