LHH is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented contract-to-hire Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a large and established not for profit association in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for processing monthly invoicing, daily lockbox cash receipts, and addressing inquiries from both external customers and internal colleagues. You will also be tasked with contacting customers regarding delinquent accounts, importing monthly billings, and reconciling various GL clearing accounts. The ideal candidate will have high transaction volume experience, strong MS Excel skills and fantastic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process daily lockbox cash receipts for various payment forms and ensure proper processing of NSF or return items.

  • Resolve issues and answer questions for internal colleagues and external customers in a professional and timely manner.

  • Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and work with co-op members to resolve differences and collect overdue balances.

  • Reconcile several receivables GL clearing accounts monthly and document reasons for existing transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a diverse membership, employees, and vendors.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas)

    Ability to solve complex and technical billing issues and ensure the highest quality of work.

Contract Pay: $25/hr to $28/hr

Permanent Salary: $55K to $60K
