Job Title: Contracts Attorney
Location: Hybrid from Durham, NC, or Fully Remote (NC Residents Only)
Job Type: Full-Time, W2 Temporary Contractor (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Pay Rate: $50 - $70 per hour (Based on Relevant Experience)
Start Date: Must be available to start within one week of offer
Job Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Attorney who is licensed and in good standing in the United States, and currently residing in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in commercial contracts, corporate governance, and in-house generalist legal functions. This role requires a tech-savvy professional adept at reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a wide range of agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, redline, and negotiate various types of contracts, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Independent Contractor Agreements
- Government Contracts
- Software and Hardware Contracts
- Master Distributor Agreements
- Provide legal support for corporate governance and general in-house legal matters
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Support legal operations and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the United States and in good standing
- Must be a current resident of North Carolina
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial contracts as an attorney
- Experience with corporate governance and in-house legal functions
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills
- Proficient in legal technology tools and platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Very limited or no upcoming time off planned over the next 90 days while onboarding
- Willingness to complete a thorough background check upon acceptance of an offer
Preferred Location:
Hybrid from Durham, NC preferred, but fully remote candidates residing anywhere in NC will be considered
Additional Information:
This is a full-time W2 temporary contractor position with the potential to convert to a permanent role for the right candidate. Candidates must be available to start within one week of receiving an offer.
