Director of Revenue Cycle / Compliance Officer
Location: Onsite – Atkinson, Wisconsin
Salary Range: $105,000 – $168,000 annually

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Revenue Cycle / Compliance Officer to oversee the full revenue cycle operations and lead compliance initiatives for our healthcare organization. This dual-role position ensures financial sustainability through effective billing, coding, and collections management while also upholding the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance, particularly related to HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Management
Direct the daily operations of billing, collections, accounts receivable, and patient financial services.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve processes, and increase revenue capture.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.
Oversee financial audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Compliance Leadership
Serve as the organization's primary Compliance Officer, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other applicable regulations.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments, and provide compliance training to staff.
Investigate and respond to compliance issues, reporting findings and recommendations to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field is required.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare compliance, HIPAA regulations, and billing/coding procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license
Prior leadership experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare environment.
Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and healthcare financial software.
