Contract Length: 1 Year
Job Summary:
LHH has an immediate opening for an Export Coordinator to manage all transportation and logistics for our international orders, ensuring seamless delivery from our US plants to overseas customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle the full export shipment process, including arranging drayage and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors (booking, document preparation, tracking, and tracing).
Book US export orders annually with ocean carriers via EDI or email.
Input booking details into the ERP system and update them as needed.
Collaborate with ocean carrier operations and drayage dispatch on equipment issues (containers or chassis).
Complete SEDs and BL instructions promptly.
Work with the credit team, bank, and customer service to create bank drafts and BL consignment for LCs.
Compile shipment documents (CI, PL, etc., from ERP and Ocean BL) and send them to overseas customers.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, and Production to manage load schedule changes (rolled bookings).
Audit ocean freight invoices before submitting them to the AP group for payment.
Maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles, including key contacts, special requirements, and preferred routings/services/carriers.
Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team, as directed by the manager.
Track key performance indicators monthly to monitor carrier performance and internal order accuracy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
2+ years of ocean export experience with a freight forwarder or large manufacturer (preferred).
Understanding of INCOTERMS and responsibility for freight payment (preferred).
Knowledge of or familiarity with ocean carrier lines.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
