LHH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join a wonderful non-profit in Downtown Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Payroll.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute full-cycle multi-state payroll processing

  • Oversee employee benefits administration

  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and documentation

  • Ensure HR compliance with all applicable federal and state labor laws

  • Support and drive performance management processes

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Provide employee support and foster a positive working environment

  • Prepare internal HR documentation and reports

  • Maintain and analyze employee data using HRIS systems

  • Stay current on HR trends and best practices


Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong time management and conflict resolution abilities

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HR/payroll platforms

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of conflict management and employee relations best practices


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior-level generalist or equivalent role

  • Experience managing multi-state payroll and benefits strongly preferred

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
