Job Summary:

LHH is seeking a Legal Compliance Director candidate for a client in the Atlanta area. The Legal Compliance Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that internal policies and procedures align with applicable laws and industry standards, while fostering a culture of ethical conduct and accountability across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance program and internal controls.

  • Monitor and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the organization.

  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with legal, HR, finance, and operations teams to ensure cross-functional compliance.

  • Lead investigations into compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related topics.

  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and the board of directors.

  • Advise on legal implications of business strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree preferred.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or corporate law.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and industry-specific regulations.

  • Proven leadership and strategic planning skills.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, tech).

  • Familiarity with compliance tools and risk management software.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.



Pay Details: $70.60 to $99.52 per hour
