Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Export Coordinator to support one of our clients international logistics operations teams in Roswell, GA. This role plays a key part in managing ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, and optimizing transportation processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve freight and invoice discrepancies by working with plants, suppliers, and the Accounts Payable team. This includes researching issues in the ERP system and ensuring accurate GL coding.
Monitor and manage RBNI (Received But Not Invoiced) transactions in coordination with the Logistics Manager and Finance.
Act as the first point of contact for operational issues such as missed pickups, delivery delays, driver detention, and documentation corrections.
Analyze freight data and shipping lanes to recommend optimal carrier and equipment utilization.
Support the Data Integrity Coordinator by maintaining freight rates, customer charges, and participating in annual freight bid processes.
Ensure carrier compliance with safety, financial, regulatory, and service standards.
Provide logistics pricing support to Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, particularly ocean freight and multimodal shipping.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
Highly organized and capable of working across departments and with all organizational levels.
Proficient in data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and ERP systems.
Understanding of transportation tendering and scheduling systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead self and contribute to team success.
Strong work ethic and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
