Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Analyst to join one of our clients Finance team in Atlanta, Ga. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax regulations, and delivering actionable insights through payroll data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-state payroll, strong Excel skills, and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and audit bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll runs for multi-state employees using platforms such as ADP Workforce Now or SAP SuccessFactors

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including garnishments, tax filings, and ACA reporting.

  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process optimization.

  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to align payroll with broader organizational goals.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and benefit deductions.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll reports and documentation.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and timekeeping with professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.

  • 2–3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.

  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Paycore, or SAP SuccessFactors

  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables); experience with data analytics tools is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and labor laws.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with payroll analytics and reporting dashboards.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration.

  • SHRM-CP, FPC, or CPP certification is a plus.



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
