Job Summary: LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing bi-weekly payroll processing using WorkForce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using WorkForce Now.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in employment status, salary adjustments, and tax withholdings.
Review and verify timesheets, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing prompt and accurate responses.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
At least two years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using WorkForce Now.
Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
