As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for up to 7,000+ employees on a monthly basis. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while providing exceptional service to our employees. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle complex payroll tasks and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and verify payroll for a large employee base (7,000+ employees) on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll data by reviewing timekeeping records, attendance, and leave requests.
  • Manage payroll tax calculations and ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax payments.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, including deductions, adjustments, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with year-end processing and reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Implement and maintain payroll procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, handling payroll for large multi-state employee groups (7,000+ employees).
  • In-depth knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
