Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Job Summary: LHH is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll Tax Analyst to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all payroll tax regulations and providing expertise in payroll tax reporting and analysis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage payroll tax processes, including the preparation, review, and filing of payroll tax returns.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

  • Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.

  • Stay current on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations, and update processes accordingly.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll tax reports and analyses to management.

  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and support for payroll tax inquiries.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in payroll tax compliance.

  • Support the year-end payroll tax activities, including W-2 and other related filings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • At least three years of experience in payroll tax processing and compliance.

  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

  • Proficient in payroll systems and software, with a preference for experience in [Insert Specific Payroll Software if applicable].

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
