LHH has partnered with a major chemical solutions corporation in the search for a Senior Sourcing Specialist. This role will support and implement innovative approaches to sourcing activities with several raw materials to support the company's manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of experience in directly sourcing chemicals for chemical companies, has developed and executed sourcing and contracting strategies at a regional level with direct categories, and brings demonstrated success in negotiation with vendors and managing vendor performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, draft, and execute sourcing and contracting strategies for the company's North American plants alongside other sourcing specialists and under the management of a Sourcing Manager.
Support and implement innovative approaches to sourcing activities with several raw materials that are supplied to company plants.
Internally consult the team on how to best manage raw material spend categories in a close co-operation with Product Line Managers across the company.
Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Chemical Engineering, or another science related field
3 - 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role with experience sourcing raw material categories for chemical companies
Strong analytical and technical skills, the ability to understand and critical issues and challenges within respective chemical commodity markets, and can define methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data to develop and redesign sourcing strategies.
Supplier and internal stakeholder management skills
Sense of urgency
Self starter and multi tasker, being able to manage multiple projects at once within tight timeframes
Demonstrated success in negotiating legal and commercial agreements terms and conditions
Strong communication ability to be able to work clearly with suppliers, internal and external stakeholders, and any other internal positions
MS Office, SAP, and eSourcing tools
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
