LHH is supporting a client of ours located in Auburn Hills, MI that is in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant. This is a Direct Hire opportunity that offers Hybrid flexibility. Our client is a thriving and growing global manufacturer. Do you have accounts payable experience and have worked in the general ledger? Would you have interest in interviewing with a dynamic and growing company?
Office Location(s): Auburn Hills, MI 48326 Systems:
Worksite Type/Schedule: Company is hybrid. 3 days office, 2 days remote. Monday and Friday are remote.
Position Title: AP Specialist
Why open: Role to support growth and change initiatives.
Compensation: $50K-$65K (stretch)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for invoice verification process, 3-way match
Verify accuracy of service invoices and confirm correct general ledger account codes are used.
Process a high volume of invoices for payment, need to have processed at least 500+ within a global manufacturing environment.
Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
Reconcile supplier's statements.
Code expense invoices as necessary.
Support quarterly and annual financial audit
Support month close process by preparing Journal Entries, account reconciliation, aged trial balance and various ad hoc reports and analysis.
Generate payment to vendors by creating weekly payment proposals for checks, wires and ach payments, provide backup for review by the payable or treasury manager.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining vendors’ records related to new vendors and changes to existing vendors.
Support Yearly 1099 reporting.
Reconcile corporate credit card programs to ensure timely payments.
Review employee expense reports and verify receipts according to the company travel policy.
Qualifications
Associate's degree OR Bachelor’s degree are ideal
