Buyer

Buyer The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the supply of goods and services required for the organization’s operations. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of market trends, and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. This is a Contract to Hire position located near Aurora, IL. Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Create and maintain purchase orders and related documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock.
• Resolve supply chain issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
• Analyze spending data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Pay is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience
