Medical Billing Specialist

📍 Location: Aurora, IL

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

🏢 On-Site: 100% in-office

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a healthcare organization in Aurora, IL seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and experienced in navigating the revenue cycle process.

Responsibilities:

• Review and submit insurance claims accurately and timely

• Follow up on outstanding claims and work denials or rejections

• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility when needed

• Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts

• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing issues

• Prepare and send patient statements

• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies

• Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations

• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers

• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and EOB interpretation

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office
