HR Recruiter

The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for a variety of roles within the manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and ensures timely and effective staffing of production, technical, and administrative positions. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Aurora IL.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions for manufacturing and support roles
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, and local outreach efforts
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates for skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate reports on hiring metrics
- Support onboarding processes and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-turnover and hard-to-fill roles
- Represent the company at job fairs, community events, and workforce development programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume hiring environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing job roles, shift scheduling, and workforce compliance requirements
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with candidates and hiring managers
- Ability to manage multiple open roles and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of labor laws, EEO regulations, and best practices in recruitment and selection
- Bilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish) are a plus for diverse workforce engagement

- Pay is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience
