Accounting & Finance Manager – Real Estate Investments
Austin, TX | Full-Time | In-Office
We’re partnering with a privately held investment firm in the Austin area to help them hire a talented Accounting & Finance Manager to lead and enhance their internal finance operations. This is a high-impact role overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, tax strategy, investment performance analysis, and investor communications.
This position is best suited for a CPA with real estate experience who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment and enjoys building and refining financial infrastructure in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including monthly closes and internal reporting
Prepare and present quarterly consolidated financial statements
Manage external reporting deliverables including tax filings, audit coordination, and debt compliance
Review and interpret partnership agreements and loan documents
Monitor and report on investment performance (realized/unrealized), distributions, and historical returns
Manage treasury and cash flow, ensuring liquidity and covenant compliance
Support financial planning and analysis for leadership
Coordinate with external property managers, auditors, and tax preparers
Provide strategic input on tax planning and entity structure
Lead and mentor a small internal team, including hiring and workload management
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
4–7 years of experience in a similar role
Prior experience in real estate investment, development, or asset management is essential
Strong understanding of partnership accounting, financial reporting, and tax strategy
Comfortable reviewing complex financial agreements (e.g., partnership/loan docs)
Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and/or Juniper Square a plus
Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills
