Job Title: Payroll Accounting Consultant
Location: Central Austin, TX (3-4 days in office)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Accounting Consultant for a 5-month contract to join our team in central Austin, TX. The consultant will be responsible for cleaning up payroll general ledger accounts for 14 entities and assisting in a software conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll accounting

  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes

  • Provide detailed reports and status updates to management

  • Process payroll transactions and reconcile payroll accounts

  • Prepare payroll journal entries and maintain payroll records

  • Analyze payroll data and identify discrepancies

  • Assist in the preparation of payroll tax filings

  • Support audits related to payroll accounting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Proven experience in payroll accounting and general ledger management

  • Familiarity with software conversion processes

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills



Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
