LHH is partnering with an engineering firm to identify an individual for a direct hire Payroll Specialist job in Austin, TX. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of three years of experience processing payroll for over 100 employees. In this role, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for over 200 employees using Paylocity, assisting HR with onboarding, benefits, and other HR related matters as needed. Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses

• Maintain all payroll reports including gross payroll, vacation accruals, etc.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local authorities Audits employee time for accuracy

• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies

• Support HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration

• Assist in the preparation of HR reports and metrics

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience processing payroll

• Experience with Paylocity preferred (or another large payroll system)

• Strong customer service skills

• Knowledge or payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws

• Proactive attitude and passion for the role
