About the Role:

LHH (formerly Accounting Principals) is seeking a Payroll Accountant for a 5-month contract. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in payroll auditing, general ledger reconciliations, and payroll tax compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our payroll processes during a critical period.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Perform general ledger reconciliations related to payroll accounts.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

  • Assist with month-end close processes related to payroll.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll accounting, preferably in a mid-sized company (300+ employees).

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, general ledger accounting, and payroll tax regulations.

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.


Contract Details:

  • Type: Full-time, Contract

  • Duration: 5 months

  • Compensation: $38-42/hr

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid



Pay Details: $38.00 to $42.00 per hour
