This role involves ensuring the company’s payroll processes adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, conducting audits, and providing recommendations for improvements. Job Title: Payroll Compliance Auditor
Compensation: $50K - $75K
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) with a 6-month onsite training period
Travel Requirements:
- 1 to 3 local client visits
- 3 to 4 overnight visits (FL and CA)

Job Description:
The Payroll Compliance Auditor is responsible for conducting compliance audits to ensure employers are making the correct contributions to labor union benefit fund plans (health, pension, annuity) as per Collective Bargaining Agreements. The role requires performing accurate and thorough audits in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand Employer-Union Benefit obligations under various collective bargaining agreements.
- Schedule and conduct reviews at employer locations, including travel outside the tri-state area.
- Compare payroll documentation to benefit fund reports to verify correct contributions.
- Prepare detailed reports for any discrepancies using Excel.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Mathematical Studies preferred.
- Bookkeeping and/or payroll experience is a plus.
- Strong data analytics and advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Good decision-making abilities.
- Must have a car.
- Ability to work a hybrid remote schedule after the training period.
