Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 3–6 months
Type: Contract/Consulting


We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for a temporary consulting engagement to support our team during a critical transition period. Based in Baltimore, MD, this hands-on role will partner with leadership to manage day-to-day HR operations while driving strategic initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor and primary point of contact for staff on HR-related matters.

  • Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.

  • Provide guidance and support in handling performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and maintain up-to-date employee records and documentation.

  • Review, update, and help implement HR policies and procedures aligned with best practices.

  • Support organizational change initiatives and contribute to special projects such as process optimization and systems upgrades.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including managerial or consulting roles.

  • Solid understanding of employment law, HR policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
