Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join an experienced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks, and the ability to plan, design, and install new equipment and systems. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the successful execution of projects that support our operational and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, designing, and installing new systems and equipment to enhance manufacturing processes.
Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards in all project activities.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and other departments to develop and manage projects.
Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff for non-routine maintenance activities.
Conduct research on new industry advancements in engineering techniques, machinery, equipment, and materials.
Uphold departmental and plant goals in areas such as Safety, Quality, Sanitation, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Strong presence on the manufacturing floor; works well with operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings.
Experience in planning, designing, and installing new equipment and systems.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred).
Preferred (but not required):
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements of OSHA, FDA, and EPA.
Experience in safety and process hazard analysis.
Advanced knowledge of Lean, 6S, and TPM fundamentals.
Experience in Process Engineering within a food, chemical, or beverage processing environment.
