LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer for their manufacturing client located in the Greater Saginaw-Midland-Bay City Area. The Project Engineer is tasked with managing the engineering and technical aspects of projects across all factory sites. This includes planning and executing automation, infrastructure, and process-related projects over a period of one to five years, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects.

  • Provide training and start-up assistance to operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff.

  • Track order deliveries, oversee installation progress, approve invoices, and monitor project costs.

  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, QA/QC policies, and specifications.

  • Archive project documentation and ensure accessibility for factory personnel.

  • Regularly review and report on project deliverables, including budget and schedule.

  • Transition projects to AMMS/Planner Schedulers for asset management.

  • Provide technical support and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Assess equipment, building, and infrastructure needs; develop project budgets, schedules, and P&ID’s.

  • Design structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation layouts in collaboration with internal and external teams.

  • Prepare bid packages for equipment procurement and installation.

  • Coordinate with environmental, safety, power, and controls teams for project support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer with project management skills.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

  • In-depth knowledge of ASME boiler, pressure vessel, and piping codes.

  • Experience in specifying process equipment such as piping systems, pumps, heat exchangers, evaporators, centrifuges, chillers, tanks, filters, air compressors, water treatment systems, boilers, and turbines.

  • Experience in specifying bulk material handling equipment like belt and screw conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, screeners, bins, scales, packaging equipment, and explosion protection equipment.



Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
