Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist (Permanent)

Location: Bay Shore, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, full time onsite

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong multitasking abilities and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply daily bank deposits and cash receipts to customer accounts

• Code checks and ensure accurate cash application

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly

• Manage chargebacks, deductions, returns, credit memos, and markdown adjustments

• Communicate with customers regarding short payments and outstanding balances

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounts receivable

• Proficiency in handling chargebacks and deductions

• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn internal software systems

• Excellent communication skills, especially in customer interactions

• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently
