Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with an Affordable Housing/Property Management organization to fill a temporary-to-permanent Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position. You would be joining a smaller, but close-knit and family-oriented team. We are searching for someone who has general bookkeeping experience but is also okay with performing office management and administrative functions. This organization is truly looking for the long-term fit for their team. Please read on for additional details.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable; Processing incoming invoices and preparing outbound payments

  • Reviewing employee expense reports timely and preparing reimbursements

  • Tracking and maintaining petty cash reports

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and bank statements

  • Performing administrative duties such as making copies, filing, scanning, answering/directing phone calls, contract review, and assisting with event scheduling/management

  • Assisting with employee onboarding and basic IT setup

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory, experience will be more important

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of general Bookkeeping experience (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll)

  • Basic Excel skills for tracking/reporting

Schedule: 4-5 days in office in Bayside, Queens

Hours: 9 - 5 PM, or 8:30 - 5:30 or 8 - 4 PM. Someone can work up to 40 hours.

Pay Details: $29.00 to $33.00 per hour
