LHH is seeking an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (LEGAL) for a contract-to-hire position in Baytown, TX.
Position: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (LEGAL)
Type: contract-to-hire
Location: HYBRID SCHEDULE (77523 zip code)
Pay Range: $33-40/hr DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, 8-5 (flex)
DUTIES:
Experienced Legal Assistant
o Assisting in-house counsel in corporate matters, labor/employment matters, and contract administration.
o Providing general administrative and clerical support to in-house counsel and HR team;
o Assisting in drafting, proofreading, and editing correspondences and documents;
o Drafting corporate resolutions and other corporate documents;
o Preparing and filing annual reports in states in which company is registered to do business;
o Maintaining contract files and expiration/termination dates of contracts;
o Performing KYC screenings related to onboarding new vendors and new customers;
o Updating monthly the claims register for submission to global corporate office;
o Requesting Certificate of Insurances as needed by Commercial or Operations team;
Corporate Law Support:
o Prepare and file corporate documents, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, and annual reports.
o Prepare and request business license filings and renewals.
o Manage corporate minute books and maintain records of board/shareholder meetings and resolutions.
Employment Law Support:
o Assist HR with drafting, reviewing, and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
o Assist in preparing employment agreements, severance agreements, and non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements.
o Conduct legal research on employment law issues and assist in compliance matters.
Contracts Law Support:
o Draft, review, and revise various template contracts, including service, vendor, and confidentiality agreements.
o Conduct due diligence related to onboarding new vendors and new customers
o Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation to execution and renewal.
Legal Research and Document Management:
o Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
· Bilingual is a PLUS but not required
SKILLS:
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time and under deadlines
Ability to communicate professionally and work well with others.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2-5+ years as a legal secretary, assistant, or paralegal experience in corporate matters
Pay Details: $33.00 to $40.00 per hour
