Billing and GL Specialist

Contract/Temp to Hire
$30.00 - $32.00 per Hour
- Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary.
- Document all collection activities and maintain accurate records.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Billing and Collections team to identify and address systemic issues affecting collections.
- Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to all legal and ethical standards in collections practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in billing, collections, or a related field.
- Familiarity with billing and collections software and accounting systems.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- pivot tables in excel are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to billing and collections is a plus.
