Summary: The HVAC Service Technician performs all aspects of installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while meeting or exceeding customer and industry standards. Conduct preventive maintenance and identify potential problems to maintain equipment reliability.
Effectively diagnose and repair all types of HVAC equipment.
Collaborate with equipment vendors to accurately identify necessary parts for system repairs.
Communicate effectively with customers to provide appropriate solutions to their problems.
Timely submission of daily paperwork and service reports.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Commercial HVAC.
Vocational in mechanical systems, electronics, or a similar field preferred.
Maryland HVAC Journeyman License.
EPA universal certification.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record to operate a company-issued vehicle.
Flexible schedule.
Ability to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background check.
Physical Demands:
Work primarily performed in an outdoor setting with some tasks conducted in an office environment.
Regularly required to use hands for handling, feeling, or operating objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to stand, talk, or hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and smell.
Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
Occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Normal working conditions include outdoor weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high, precarious places.
Exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles, and confined spaces.
