LHH is partnering with a company in the real estate industry in Bellevue, WA to search for a temporary to hire Payroll Accountant for their team. You will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee inquiries, and handling accounts payable work. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in accounting, preferably with knowledge of both payroll and accounts payable. However, you could still be considered if you have worked in one of those areas but were comfortable learning quickly. Professional communication skills and ability to work with sensitive information confidentially will be important for this role also. Responsibilities

  • Execute bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and documentation for audit and review purposes
  • Address payroll-related questions and concerns from employees promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Utilize and maintain payroll software systems, ensuring data integrity and security
  • Process employee expense reports and ensure timely payments
  • Handle accounts payable invoice processing and submit for payment approval
  • Generate payroll reports for management, providing insights into payroll expenses and trends
  • Support other accounting functions as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in payroll software (such as ADP, Paychex) and accounting software (such as NetSuite or SAP)
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll laws and regulations
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams


Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
