Commercial Real Estate Attorney (1600 Billable Hours!)

Firm & Job Overview:

Established and prestigious law firm in Bethesda, MD specializing in transactional business and real estate matters is immediately seeking a mid-level or senior Associate to join its commercial real estate practice group! The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of sophisticated real estate transaction documents.

Core Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess experience representing owners, sponsors, developers, and lenders in preparing agreements relating to the acquisition, ownership, financing, development, sale, and leasing of real estate. Strong organizational and writing skills, refined oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and a desire to excel in a growing firm are also ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate real estate transaction documents, such as purchase agreements, loan documents, development agreements, joint venture agreements, etc.

  • Review and analyze due diligence materials for various types of real estate transactions.

  • Supervise the review of title and survey.

  • Draft and review entity governing and authorization documents.

  • Organize and coordinate closings.

Qualifications:

  • Barred in Maryland.

  • Barred in DC or Virginia a plus.

  • 4+ years of experience.

  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.

  • Ambitious legal professional with desire to grow their career within a growing firm.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary – $140K+ based on experience, before bonuses and benefits.

  • Billables – 1600 hours annually targeted.

  • Bonuses – approx. $10K at 1600 hours; $25K at 1700 hours; etc.

  • Benefits – 401(k); health, dental, and vision insurance; 12 weeks paid parental leave.

  • Hybrid – hybrid flexibility available and encouraged throughout firm.

  • Partner-track role.



Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $185,000.00 per year
