We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to join an accounting team near Birmingham, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. This role is essential to the timely and accurate management of financial transactions and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
Make copies of all checks, complete deposit slips, and make regular bank deposits
Review all invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment
Process vendor payments via electronic systems or physical checks
Print, obtain signatures for, and mail checks as needed
Conduct vendor research and support inquiries as requested
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and brokerage accounts
Provide clerical support to the accounting team including filing, copying, and maintaining electronic records
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis tasks and reporting
Participate in special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in billing, accounts payable, or similar accounting function preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and review
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with accounting or ERP systems is a plus
