Position Overview: The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in the Mass Torts/Class Action Defense practice area. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to manage a high-volume caseload, and work effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
Draft legal documents including subpoenas and pleadings
Conduct case analysis and ensure all deadlines are met
Summarize medical and billing records, as well as deposition transcripts
Manage cases from inception through resolution
Perform Federal and State e-filing
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and under pressure
High level of motivation and initiative
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
Experience with iManage
Familiarity with Aderant billing software is a plus
