Litigation Administrative Assistant You will be required to work onsite in Bloomfield Hills, MI, for the first 90 days. After successful onboarding, a flexible hybrid schedule will allow one day WFH, depending upon the needs of the business.
LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Litigation Administrative Assistant to support our client's Bloomfield Hills law firm full-time. This W2 temp-to-hire contractor position will be converted to a permanent role for the right person.
Core Responsibilities:
Provided day-to-day support to attorneys and legal support staff, primarily focusing on the products liability team and coordinated national discovery management.
Assist with new business intake, document management, electronic filing, and court interactions.
Prepare, type, and modify legal documents, correspondence, and other materials.
Handle document copying, scanning, and binder creation.
Support attorney time entry, travel scheduling, and billing.
Provide general administrative support, including reception, conference, general housekeeping, and copy center duties.
Requirements:
2+ years of post-high school education or paralegal certificate required.
2+ years of recent US law firm experience supporting busy civil litigation defense attorneys in a highly administrative role.
2+ years of experience e-filing court documents for civil litigation matters.
2+ years of experience transcribing legal records from dictation.
Demonstrated experience reviewing and invoicing attorney time and expense reports, making travel arrangements, and trial preparation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including data entry, proofreading, and grammar proficiency.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal document management systems (NetDocs preferred.)
Accurate typing speed of 60+ WPM (willing to take a typing and legal proofreading assessment.)
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Experience with administrative office equipment and a client-centric approach.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work occasional overtime.
Hourly Pay Rate: $25-$33/hour, commensurate with your experience.
