The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk will be responsible for managing high-volume invoicing and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP software and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk
Location: Bordentown, NJ
Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in SAP.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and generating reports.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP software is required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
