Payroll Specialist

Summary
Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll providing timely and accurate financial information. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain electronic timekeeping system
  • Collect timesheet data and payroll information
  • Enter data into payroll databases, included but not limited to W4, 401k deferrals, Garnishments, Child Support, Union dues, etc.
  • Process payroll and ensure completion of payroll on a timely manner
  • Process manual checks when necessary
  • Report monthly hours and wages along with payments due to various Unions
  • Maintain and update personnel records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, status, and pay; assigning PTO plans
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues/concerns
  • Generate/Reconcile payment requests via AP department for all employee contributions
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associates degree
  • 2 years minimum experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices preferred
  • Working knowledge of UltiPro Payroll system and Business Intelligence Reporting is a Plus
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Fluent in Spanish is preferred


Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
