Job Title: HR Specialist (Permanent Position)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-time (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Onsite)
Salary: $75,000 per year
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled HR Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in employee investigations, work closely with managers for training and development, and support HR operations across multiple company locations. This is an onsite position that requires travel to various sites for training, with a company car provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and unbiased employee investigations, addressing workplace issues such as policy violations, complaints, and conflicts.
Collaborate with managers to identify and fulfill training and development needs to enhance employee performance and support organizational goals.
Facilitate and conduct on-site training sessions across multiple company locations (company car provided).
Assist in the administration and management of HR systems, including ADP (preferred, not required).
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry into HRIS systems.
Work with leadership to ensure alignment of HR policies with business needs and legal compliance.
Provide support in handling union-related matters (union experience is a plus).
Contribute to improving employee relations and maintaining a positive work environment.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience with employee investigations, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Proven experience in training and development, particularly in collaborating with managers to enhance employee skills and growth.
Willingness to travel to different company locations for training (company car provided).
ADP experience preferred but not required.
Union experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
