LHH is targeting a Payroll Specialist for a company in Brownsburg, IN. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department with various administrative tasks, including processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job titles, and salary details.
Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of necessary paperwork.
Provide support for employee relations issues, including responding to inquiries and resolving basic HR-related problems.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Prepare and distribute HR-related reports, such as attendance, payroll, and employee turnover.
Organize and maintain HR files and documents, both physical and digital.
Support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance reviews, training programs, and employee engagement activities.
Handle general administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing calendars.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of proven experience in an HR role
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience
Strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with HR software and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
