Location: Buckhead, GA
Reports To: Payroll Manager / HR Director
Job Summary:
The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll tax processing, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and timely filings. The role includes preparing tax reports, reconciling payroll taxes, assisting with audits, and providing support for payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate filing of federal, state, and local payroll taxes (e.g., 941, 940) and manage year-end reporting (W-2, 1099).
- Tax Reporting & Filing: Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns; ensure timely payments.
- Reconciliation & Audits: Reconcile payroll taxes monthly/quarterly, and assist with audits.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and tax data.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed tax records and generate regular payroll tax reports.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of payroll tax compliance experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of payroll tax laws, strong attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and payroll software (ADP, Paychex, etc.).
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
