Position Overview
The Senior Electronic Warfare Subject Matter Expert will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in support of the F-35 IPT at NAVAIR Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA. This role involves systems engineering, test and evaluation, and integration of advanced electronic warfare (EW) technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as SME for EW threats, radar data, and the AN/ALQ-260 DRFM jammer.
Perform systems engineering functions including requirements analysis, architecture design, and payload integration.
Lead test and evaluation efforts and support counter-EW threat strategies.
Manage threat libraries and integrate intelligence functions to enhance system effectiveness.
Write and update technical documentation including system requirements, design specs, white papers, and engineering notes.
Lead and participate in technical meetings, milestone reviews, and teleconferences.
Travel up to 25% to alternate sites (CONUS and OCONUS).
Qualifications
3–10 years of relevant experience in electronic warfare and systems engineering.
Experience with radar data, threat analysis, and test and evaluation.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or lead small teams.
Education:
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Substitution: A bachelor’s degree with 4 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a master’s.
Security Clearance:
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 – $170,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
