Senior Software Developer – Applications
Location: Point Mugu, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret
Salary Range: $115,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Overview LHH is representing a defense sector client in the search for a
Key Responsibilities
Architect and prototype future software and digital systems using emerging technologies
Develop and maintain microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot
Write secure, high-performance code in Java and TypeScript
Build responsive front-end applications using ReactJS/Redux, Material UI, and NPM
Design and implement RESTful APIs with robust authentication and error handling
Integrate real-time communication using WebSockets
Configure and manage RabbitMQ (AMQP) for asynchronous processing
Use Java ORM frameworks (JPA, Hibernate) for efficient database operations
Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
Manage Git workflows and perform code reviews
Troubleshoot Kubernetes deployment issues across the stack
Document system architecture and standards in Confluence
Manage tasks and user stories in JIRA
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to architectural decision-making
Mentor junior developers and promote clean code practices
Qualifications
10+ years of full-stack software development experience
3+ years in CI/CD pipeline development in Agile/DevOps environments
Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, containers, and microservices
Proficiency in SQL, HTML, CSS, and Git
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Experience
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
RabbitMQ (AMQP)
Hibernate and advanced ORM techniques
Spring Boot or Java EE
ReactJS/Redux for SPA development
WebSockets for real-time applications
Education
Master’s degree in Computer or Information Science or a related technical field
Substitution: A bachelor’s degree with 4 additional years of relevant experience is acceptable
Security Clearance
Active Top Secret clearance required
Subject to a T5 security investigation
U.S. citizenship required at the time of application
