Position Overview

As an Applications Software Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications and microservices for aviation mission planning. You’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment, leveraging technologies like Java, .NET, TypeScript, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications and microservices.

• Write clean, maintainable code in Java, .NET, and/or TypeScript.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Implement DevSecOps practices using tools like SonarQube, xUnit, and JUnit.

• Utilize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment.

• Analyze user needs and translate them into functional software solutions.

• Create and maintain software documentation throughout the SDLC.

• Support Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) mission requirements for P-8 aircraft.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of relevant software development experience.

• Proficiency in Java, .NET, and/or TypeScript.

• Experience with software design principles and testing frameworks (xUnit, JUnit).

• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and containerization technologies.

• Experience with Agile development and SPA (Single Page Applications).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).

Education

• Required: BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field.

• Substitution: 6 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree; 4 years with an associate degree.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
