LHH is partnering with a long-time client to find an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join their team in Ventura County! This candidate MUST possess a Top-Secret Clearance!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures to protect computer networks and information.

  • Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.

  • Respond to computer security breaches and viruses, working with ISSO and Cybersecurity Lead.

  • Integrate security into a continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipeline to minimize vulnerabilities in software code.

  • Ensure the entire DevOps team, including developers and operations teams, share responsibility for following security best practices.

  • Enable automated security checks at each stage of software delivery by integrating security controls, tools, and processes into the DevOps workflow.

  • Assist in the continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD), continuous feedback, and continuous operations cycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Between 3 and 10 years of practical experience in secure network and system design, analysis, procedure/test generation, test execution, and implementation of computer/network security mechanisms.

  • Security+ certification.

  • CISSP Certification or NSA equivalent.

  • IAM Level 2 as per DoD Directive 8570.01, with experience working with the Risk Management Framework processes.

  • Strong background in DevSecOps and Linux is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both formal and informal interactions at staff, customer, and organizational levels.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs, including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Educational Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.

  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.
