LHH is seeking a Junior Accountant to assist our client Carlsbad, CA. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is fully onsite with lots of growth potential! Ideally, this Client is seeking someone with life sciences / biotech experience and someone capable of managing heavy data within Excel. This role pays between $25 - $29/hr and offers a flexible schedule after training.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

· Process Accounts Payable – 150 weekly invoices

· Ensure accurate expense coding and appropriate approvals

· Enter fixed asset and prepaid invoices into accounting software

· Perform account reconciliations and analysis

· Assist in preparation of state and local tax reporting

· Post general ledger entries

· Reconcile cash advances

Qualifications:

· Great Plains or Oracle experience is a plus

· Associate’s degree or above is preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Solution-orientated and strong organizational skills 

· Excellent attention to detail
