LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our client in Carlsbad, CA. This contract to hire role will be responsible for posting journal entries, reconciling account balances and bank statements, assisting with month-end closure processes, and maintaining the general ledger. One year of experience within the Healthcare industry is preferred. The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000-$82,000 a year.

Responsibilities:

· Post journal entries and ensure accurate account coding

· Process monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile bank statements

· Assist with month-end closure processes

· Prepare ACH, Wires and bank transfers

· Manage fix assets

· Assist with financial audits

· Perform financial analysis and reporting

· Maintain general ledger

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Strong month-end close experience

· Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting theory

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience using QuickBooks Online
